Advanced Motorcycle Training - Multivehicle Overtake

You should always plan your overtakes so that you know where you are going to finish the overtake before you start. When you return to your side of the road you should do so without the use of brakes if at all possible. Your overtake should not adversely effect any other driver on the road.

Having decided to overtake one vehicle, the information may change while negotiating the overtake because of the better view. It may be in order to change your plan and overtake several vehicles providing it can be completed safely.

It should be borne in mind that overtaking is the most dangerous manoeuvre you can perform. The question you should ask yourself before you overtake is - Why am I going to overtake? Does the benefit out way any risk?
